just a few cakes I have been up to. I have not been able to get on and blog. I guess I am not a blogger, but I loved making the leaves and cowboy hats! I think this was my fav. so far.

john deere first birthday

tractor was made from rice krispies then covered in fondant. Tires made from gumpaste. Little pig and sheep was from fondant and everything else was hand painted with mixture of food color and vodka.

Owl baby shower cake

Owl cake, Not sure how this little fellow has gotten so popular with the babies and little ones. But I got my chance to create my version of it. I matched up her invitation. Owl was made from rice krispies and covered in gumpaste and fondant.

Baby Shower cakes

Today just posting some baby shower cakes. I love the final finish on my bows. If you can get a close up look at the stripped or zebra print one.........You would think they where real ribbon... uh no they are made from fondant. A little extra time to make but wow, what a difference it can make.

Captain Morgan cake ect.

I am going to just post several pics at once to get them all in. Love doing cakes with a wood look barrel or treasure chest. This week look for an Alabama cake. Not sure if I am going for a Bear Bryant houndstooth hat, or go the Saben straw hat. Guess I will make that decision friday. I am also doing a baby shower in that wonderful pottery barn hoot owl theme. Interesting how one thing can just hit everyones fancy all at once. Wonder if one day I will hit and everyone will want a cake just by M.E.

Toy story cake

Toy story cake... What is there to say.. ?? I loved making woody but would love to never make a buzz again lol. This one was way to time consuming, as usual would have loved to spend more time on all the other characters and bring them up to par. I might even regret doing this one because people seem to request info on it a lot..........uh but do not want to pay. If I am learning any thing............start on all characters days ahead.. Now to find the time in those days ahead to do them.

Alabama Quilt

Can you tell we are Alabama fans.........Made this one for my great nephew on request. The mother said make me a baby quilt with a big A on it in the alabama colors.....This is what I came up with.

Tool cake

Tool the band cake. I have not posted in so long and I have so many cakes and quilts I have not been posting so it might take me awhile to get them all in... This cake I had no Idea at first how I was going to accomplish it.......I think it turned out to be very cool and freaky looking. It is amazing what you can do with fondant, vodka and food coloring paste. I had no Idea who they where but when someone sends you a pick and says this is what I want on my cake I take it as a challenge to see what I can do.......They where more than happy , which makes me crazy happy.

Wizard of oz cake

wizard of oz cake..........you know I had to do it. I loved making the characters for this one. Wish I would have started earlier on making them. Loved my toto and tin man. Other designs where painted on by hand. ( I was a big Wizard of oz fan)
